HISTORY

Along with our group companies, we actively expand our overseas construction work. We established JAFEC USA, Inc., a company specializing ground improvement, as a subsidiary in the USA for customers in the USA and Southeast Asia, and we also collaborate with our subsidiary OK Soil Co., Ltd., which specializes in ground improvement within Japan. By doing so, our group comes together to promote our business.

COMPANY HISTORY

1950s - 1970s

1953 (November)
Nippon Grout Industry Ltd., having capital of 1,000,000 yen, was established in Matsugaecho in Kita-ku, Osaka City, with the objective of conducting boring and grouting works in reservoirs, land reclamations, dams, tunnels, etc.
1967 (January)
Established the Tokyo Branch and Kyushu Branch.
1970 (October)
Established the Sapporo Branch.
1972 (March)
Constructed the Headquarters building in Matsugaecho in Kita-ku, Osaka City.
1975 (April)
Established the Tohoku Branch.
1975 (July)
Established the Tokyo Headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo.
1976 (August)
Established the Osaka Branch (current Kansai Branch).
1979 (October)
Established the Hokuriku Branch.

1980s - 1990s

1980 (December)
Established the Nagoya Branch (current Chubu Branch).
1981 (October)
Established the Hiroshima Branch.
1983 (January)
Acquired the Tokyo head office building in Sakuragaoka-ho in Shibuya Tokyo.
1985 (April)
Amalgamated with Shin Gijutsu Kaihatsu Co., Ltd. with the objective of strengthening the corporate base.
Changed its trade name to Japan Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd.
1987 (July)
Established the Niigata Branch.

Listed on Osaka Securities Exchange (now Osaka Exchange), Second Section.
1990 (October)
Established the Kanto Branch.
1993 (October)
Listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange, Second Section.
1994 (December)
Established Tokyo Daini Building in Sakuragaokacho in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Established the Compliance Committee as a management advisory organization.

Business alliance with OK Soil Co., Ltd. aiming for expansion of ground improvement
work orders and projects.
2007 (November)
Signed a basic comprehensive agreement concerning technology introduction and joint civil engineering works with Trevi Group (Italy).
2009 (April)
Established the Tokyo Branch.
2009 (October)
Established JAFEC USA.
2010 (April)
OK Soil became a subsidiary.

Relocated the Tokyo Headquarters, Tokyo Branch Office, and Metropolitan Area Branch
